......... where I usually sit at some stage during the day reading a book and having coffee or perhaps a green tea!

Sometimes I even do the ironing out here, where it is often much cooler!!

This is my balcony on the 18th floor of the condo where I live in Singapore. Its a beautiful little haven at anytime of the day or night......... but the view at night is stunning. Looking to the left is the city of Singapore and looking to the right is the Jurong Island.

We can sit and watch the massive thunder storms that come thru or on NYE watch the fireworks display!!

well it was on January 2nd...... when he turned 11 years old.

but today.......

Stripped the bed to wash the sheets etc....... threw the duvet on the floor ...where else?

washing done, hung out, dishes done etc.....

time for boys to go for a walk.....

uh oh, where is Mr P ????

can't find him anywhere.

called him to no avail.

Got a biscuit, still no show.

Then started with the 'pokey talk' : "where is my little munchkin?"

thump thump thump

ah yes, THE tail.

follow sound of the thump thump thump......

and where does it lead me?

to the duvet laying in a heap on the floor........ suddenly there is movement .....

and another thump thump thump...

yep, the sneaky boy, hiding from his mama.

all snuggled up and nup, no interest in the big outside walk.

He has found a comfy spot for the day and that is where he intends to stay!!!!!!!

thats my munchkin. :-)

H A P P Y N E W Y E A R !!

it is now 12.10am on Tuesday January 1st 2008.....

there, have done it, the first time I have written the date as 08........!!!

We stayed in tonight and spent NYE together, did think of going to Clarke Quay or someplace similar to see the "New Year In", but have heard so many reports of how busy it will be etc...even Vincent (our driver) says he is fully booked for the whole night long...... which tells me we would be very lucky to be able to even get a cab to get back home. :-)

So we have been playing with our new MAC machines, emailing, flickering, and SMSing! Plus at midnight we stood on the balcony to watch the fireworks in the distance. But not much happening around here, a few parties and people calling out, but not the usual noises of car horns blasting etc.

Hope all our family remains safe and well (including Janine who is in Chile as I write this) and that everyone enjoys 2008 full of happiness and joy.

I just hope and pray that 2008 may also bring peace throut the world. But being realistic, I think that maybe a little way off.
