La Rambla is certainly the centre of Barcelona! This famous street is bustling with life where you can find anything from souvenirs, bars, restaurants, typical Tapas, to famous Spanish art.
Paella and and a one litre glass of Sangria is of course the major attraction along La Rambla at lunchtime!!
A 15 minute walk up the La Rambla will bring you to the Plaza de Catalufia, another hotspot for great shopping in town.
Barcelona is Spain's second largest city, with a population of nearly two million people, and the capital of Catalonia. The city, located directly on the northeastern Mediterranean coast of Spain, has a rich history dating back at least 2,000 years when it gained prominence as a Roman town under its old name, Barcino.
