some of the flowers of the Highlands

Yesterday I blogged about wandering the gardens of the SmokeHouse Hotel where we are staying. The blog focused on the walks within the garden, the little hidden area's for reading, sitting, having afternoon tea etc ....

now it is time to show you just some of the beautiful flowers seen here. Most of these were taken in the gardens of the hotel and just a couple were taken while out walking:

and this last one was just sitting amongst the grass on the side of the road and is probably considered a weed ...... but sometimes weeds can be just as beautiful as a flower, don't you agree?
