the resort we stayed in on Koh Samui is way down south ...... well away from the noisy nightlife that is Chewang Beach or Lamai.
That does not mean you cannot get there, the resort has a driver that will take you where you want to go and come back and pick you up ..... you are not that isolated ..... but you are isolated enough to be able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area surrounding the resort.
Which is what we did.
If you look at the above map, on the lower left hand corner you will see Phang Ka .... that's where we were.
We went for some lovely walks along the beach at the front of the resort area as seen in the following images......
the above boats are the longtail boats or taxi boats, they have a very small motor situated at the back and are used by the fishermen to go fishing or to take the tourists out to other beaches close by.
