Then you cannot go past dining at The Marmalade Pantry!
The Marmalade Pantry has been a very popular dining venue in Singapore since 1999. Now, the recently opened Marmalade Pantry at the Stables is set to conquer a new crowd and of course bring the regular customers from ION on Orchard, out "into the country" for a new dining experience.

The Marmalade Pantry is tucked away amongst the greenery (as seen above) which surrounds Bukit Timah Saddle Club and to arrive at the restaurant is, in itself, just perfect. It is difficult to imagine even being in Singapore. Do drive carefully as you enter Fairways Drive (off Eng Neo Ave) as there are riders with their horses and you probably will see a few monkeys too. But you will soon realise that you are far away from the hustle and bustle of "city life" and surrounded by lush greenery, horses and open paddocks .....
The Marmalade Pantry makes you feel immediately at home with its casual atmosphere
and where you can enjoy a mouth-watering list of freshly prepared and
flavorful dishes.
The setting for the Marmalade Pantry is delightful. Nothing nicer than sitting there with a glass of wine over looking the greenery in the cool of a Singapore evening.
An extensive menu of modern style food, fresh salads, desserts and an extensive juice and wine list await the discerning diner.
Open Tuesday - Friday from 15:00 to 23:00
weekends and public holidays 10:00 to 23:00.
weekends and public holidays 10:00 to 23:00.
Those wishing to participate in "afternoon tea" can do so between 3.00pm and 6.00pm. I think to drive out there for an afternoon tea one weekend would be just delightful ...... the cakes and desserts are to die for. I cannot even begin to say what my favourite would be. At first I thought perhaps the Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake - even though I am not too fond of the overly sweet caramel flavour. This was simply delicious and not too sweet at all..... in fact for $8.00 I would not even consider "sharing" this dessert!
Next I tried the Lemon Brulee Tart and it was then I realized that yes, I had found my favourite and for $14.00 it was well worth every tiny mouthful. The lemon was not too tart, but enough to know you are indulging in a Lemon Brulee. Simply delicious!
The Marmalade Pantry has an extensive drinks list from Martini's to Mojitos, from Cocktails to Coffee, from Spirits to Smoothies and from Shakes to Soda's. You couldn't possibly not try at least one of their freshly squeezed juices or even one of the smoothies.
I am not going to say any more about the food or drinks as you simply must go and see for yourself. I do not consider myself a food critic nor a food writer, but I enjoy good food that is well presented with the added bonus being 'good value'.
I write about what I enjoy and what I think others will enjoy and I do recommend The Marmalade Pantry as an ideal experience for a weekend brunch, dinner or an afternoon tea, try it as I am sure you will not be disappointed.
