Asia's grandest street + floats parade was held on February 23 and 24 along Orchard Road. This one (2007) was the 35th Chingay Parade.
It is not possible to describe the many floats and acts that were part of the parade. It really was quite overwhelming with all the participants, the sounds and colors of such an event.
There were acts on poles, there were belly dancers and musicians, performers re-enacting a soccer match, others re-enacting events held in Spain and Africa. Quite a multicultural event!
