Once upon a time, in fact 65 years ago today, a daughter was born to
Rose Mary ROBERTS and her husband Eric PETERSON.
and I was named Leone Cheryl PETERSON.
I was born at Seskinore Private Hospital in Camberwell, Victoria, Australia
on Saturday morning August 4 1945.
The yellow pin shows where I was born ...... obviously the building is no longer there, but that is the address: 170 Mont Albert Road, Camberwell.
My life - as with many people - has had many ups and downs, my childhood even more so. My earliest recollection was living at Warracknabeal in the Western District of Victoria and then I first attended school at Traralgon State School in the Gippsland area of Victoria.
We left my father in 1954 and I did not see him again until 1976 when by chance I was speaking with him in Alice Springs (in the centre of Australia) little knowing I was speaking with my father. He realised who I was long before I even caught on ...... but it was a joyous occasion to which I am forever grateful for. A few of the images below show me with my dad.

I share my birthday - though not the year - with my cousin Diane Gay ROBERTS, the daughter of my mother's brother. The only female first cousin I have!

I think most of the above is true of me, I love to travel, I love to be pampered, I do like to learn about new cultures, I do have a high level of energy (most days) I am loyal, dramatic flair is part and parcel of my zest for life, I love (most) people. I am optimistic.
