Afternoon Tea in The Grand Hyatt
Located on the 2nd floor of Erawan Bangkok, the Erawan Tea Room serves traditional Thai cuisine complemented by refreshing beverages in a beautifully-appointed semi-casual setting.
Utilising a rich, classic décor, internationally acclaimed designer Tony Chi has revived the nostalgic atmosphere of a bygone era in a Tearoom whose panoramic windows overlook the fascinating Erawan Shrine.
For about $9.00 SGD per person, you get a pot of English tea, or other tea's or coffee should you wish and a selection of Thai style snacks. The setting of the 'tea room' is beautiful, they also sell tea and homeware products there.
Lesley, Donna and myself had the Thai Tea (as above), Avril had the English Tea which was served in a beautiful silver tea pot as seen here....

Your photos are wonderful. I love a proper English tea! I remember a fancy high tea served up as a buffet on Sundays in a fancy tourist hotel in Nyeri, Kenya. We lived the volunteer life in those days and had no money, but a group of us would pay for this reasonably priced high tea and make it dinner. The staff would see us coming and frown, but there was nothing they could do :)
