walking to the bakery - in Bali

one of the nice things we did while we were in Bali was to walk to the bakery early every morning to buy their fresh, crusty baguettes!

On the walk - which probably took about 15 minutes - we saw lots of interesting 'things' from the minute we stepped out the front gate area .....

we saw the rice grains drying in the Sunshine......
we saw chickens and roosters, some roaming free and others caged ....

we saw private homes ....
and snakes (dead ones!) on the road .....
we saw bikes riding by .....

and a funeral passing by .....

and we passed by the local laundry .....

then we came to the gate  ........

of the bakery .........

and we carried it all the way back to the villa to enjoy ..... all of this before 7.15 each morning!

such a surprise find in the rural area of Bali ........ it is seriously the best bread we have tasted for a very long time!

stay tuned for further surprises of Bali!!
