On our Halong Bay cruise recently, we had the opportunity to visit the floating fishing village.
But don't assume you arrive by the junk cruise!
the ladies of the village come and pick you up in a bamboo boat:
and yes, even John had a go at rowing, but like he said, it was hard going!! We have new respect for these hard working ladies .....
it wasn't long before we spotted the fishing village where we spent some time learning a little of their way of life. But will blog about that soon .......
