as in all cities all around the world, there are many places to just do some "people watching", and we certainly did that as seen in the following images....

Illegal immigrant street peddlers are everywhere and have totally taken over some major tourist sites and they are not always as they seem.
At first I thought this one was a female .....
but rechecking the next image I had my doubts.....
this is a very common site in Europe and not just in Rome ....
a few musicians around, but not as many as I expected ...
one beggar holding out the paper cup and hoping for a refill....
these three were selling 'handbags', but within just a couple of minutes of me taking this image, the police turned up and they scattered ....... one running down the stairs, closely followed by two police and they all took a tumble half way down the stairs before jumping up and continuing the 'chase'!
and one very bored policeman watching from the sidelines!
