To travel from the airport in Kota Kinabalu to the city area by taxi you purchase a 'ticket' at the window on the Arrivals level, then presenting the ticket to the driver.
The standard rate from the airport to the city is RM30.
Most of the cabs are just a normal everyday teksi's, but sometimes you might be lucky enough to get into one of these:
its worth the RM30 to travel in a cab such as this!!
