The Glass Bottomed Boat.....

one of the first things we did after arriving in Mauritius, was to take a trip out to the reef in a glass bottomed boat to see the coral and hopefully some fish.

I think the cost of a couple of hours out there was about $30.00, but it was interesting as we headed out from Grand Baie to the reef.....

the sea was this amazing turquoise colour..... every time I see this colour now it will remind me of Mauritius. As we approached the reef area, the weather started to deteriorate and next thing we knew we were in the middle of a storm. It came down so quickly, no warning at all and we were drenched within a minute!

But we did manage to see some of the fish thru the glass bottom of the small boat we were on. After arriving back into Grand Baie, we headed straight back to the hotel to have a shower, warm up a bit and get changed.

(stay tuned for more stories and photos on my blog of the Grand Baie area of Mauritius)

It looks gorgeous Leone. The sea in Samoa is the same aqua colour- beautiful- the colour sea is meant to be. Looks like you had a lovely holiday- welcome back!
