walking around Funchal

we walked for just over 6 hours, all over Funchal and saw a lot of interesting roads and lane ways as you can see by the following images:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The pavement was usually a type of pebble or cobblestone which would have made it very difficult for the women to wear their spiky heels!!  These girls were not 'locals' as they were traveling on the cruise too!
